I am an 18-year veteran of the British Army. I’ve taken part in the Cumbrian Challenge twice, to support fellow veterans. This December, I’m taking on Walking Home for Christmas, walking from the War Memorial at Christchurch Park, Ipswich, to the War Memorial at Castle Park, Colchester (23 miles). This journey is a tribute to service and the resilience I’ve seen in so many veterans.

This walk is my way to give back and to raise awareness and funds for veterans facing mental health challenges and the difficult transitions back to civilian life. The distance between two memorials is a powerful reminder that communities stand with veterans—and that every step can spark hope and a new beginning.
