Why I’m Taking Part
On the 18th of Dec 2025, I'll be part of the Long Way Home team from DXC pulling the Walking With The Wounded expedition pulk from the Cenotaph in London, to the The Fusilier Memorial in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
We'll call in at a number of places on route including Bletchley Park, The National Memorial Arboretum, Catterick Garrison and finally Newcastle Upon Tyne..... Why go in a straight line eh, that's just boring!
My leg is going to be from Hebden Bridge to Brame Lane (Yorkshire Dales), a total of 48.7Km or 32 Miles in old money!

The need is clear:
🎖️ In 2024, WwtW supported 963 veterans with complex social welfare needs across all services
📉 90% arrived with low wellbeing in at least three areas
📈 88% reported significant wellbeing improvements after our support
🤝 WWTW provided 48,640+ hours of face-to-face support
