Steve and Craig to take on Manchester to Blackpool walk

On December 14th, Steve McGuire and Craig Nield, residents of Manchester, are embarking on a 60-mile walk from Canada Street in Manchester to Blackpool. Their goal is to raise funds to support military charity Walking With The Wounded’s Walking Home For Christmas campaign.
Supported by a dedicated team, Steve and Craig will face the challenge head-on. Upon reaching Blackpool, they will be treated to an exclusive tour of Hanger 42 Spitfire Visitors Centre.
Commenting on the Walking Home For Christmas challenge, Steve said, “I wanted to give back to those who have served our country, and this seemed like a fitting tribute.
Since joining Walking With The Wounded as an IPS Employment Advisor, I have witnessed first-hand the incredible work of our frontline team, providing support to those who served. I am sure that Craig and I will encounter challenges during our 60-mile walk, yet they pale in comparison to the daily struggles some veterans endure. Every donation we receive will contribute to the remarkable support programmes of WWTW, ultimately making a significant impact on the lives of those who have served.”

From London to Dumfries, the care staff Walking Home For Christmas

Workers from the UK’s largest online care platform Curam put their best feet forward on December 11, raising vital funds for veterans’ charity Walking With The Wounded as part of its Walking Home For Christmas campaign.
The national sponsored event, which is now in its 10th year, involved teams from the care company’s London and Dumfries offices, who collectively clocked up a total of 50 miles as one of 154 teams taking part.
Staff in east London carried out individual walks, including Curam co-founder Patrick Wallace, who walked from the company’s office in Ashwin Street, Dalston, to Hammersmith. And the Scottish team, headed by Curam director Ben Weatherall, clocked up 12 miles with their countryside walk in Irongray, Dumfries.
